My |Girl For this layout I was inspired by one of my favourite artists, Heather Jacob. I love the way she uses many layers in her pages |

Hi there, it's been far longer than I'd hoped since I wrote my last post, time waits for no-one.
Today I did a layout with a picture of my daughter-in-law, Tarryn. I had made the tag embellishment earlier this week and was really pleased with it so I decided to use it on this layout.

Today is really exciting. I have been thinking about having my own blog for a while, it's taken a little while to get it off the ground.
This is the beginning of a blog where I look forward to sharing my passion for scrapping with other dedicated crafters.
It is my wish that through sharing my knowledge I will, in turn, learn from some of you who take the time to visit my space..... Let the journey begin .......
Here goes my first layout .....
I did this one this week, it is of my granddaughter, Chayne. I will be teaching this layout at House of Art in Hillcrest sometime in June.
I just love these pictures, they really speak Chayne's spunky nature beautifully.

Laugh Always
I used papers from the fabulous Sugar and Spice range
from Fabscraps
The two I used are
Purple Swirls C45008 and
Cherry Blossom C45005
Stunning co-ordinated colours in this range,
I find them very easy to match
to my photographs
I used envelopes to store the journaling tickets
and added bunting for a whimsical, child-like feel
To assemble:
I painted around all sides of both
background pages with white acrylic paint
then scribbled in black fine liner pen over the paint.
I used a stencil to create the scalloped edge
behind the candy stripe strip
Smaller photos were double matted,
the main photo I matted 4 times
Thanks for visiting my space,
and please leave a comment
Bye for now
